Kingdom Faith Academy

Kingdom Faith Academy (KFA) was founded in 2024 as a church exempt school within the Faith, Healing, and Anointing Temple church located at 4400 Stamp Rd Suite 100 in Temple Hills, MD.

KFA services families and children ages 3-12 years. We focus on Preschool, Kindergarten, and Before/After care services. Our educational principles are based on a Christian perspective. Children will learn through a faith-based view, social emotional learning, indoor/outdoor play, and S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.)

Elder Nashonda Sherrod, M.Ed, BCMHC

As an Educator with Anne Arundel Public Schools for almost 4 years, Nashonda was granted the opportunity to teach children of multiple grade levels. She started as a Substitute Teacher, then a Temporary Support Assistant, Middle School Family and Consumer Science Teacher and a Title 1 Teacher (or Academic Support). She also worked in Childcare Facilities and as a Site Coordinator in STEM Before and Aftercare Program. Later she began teaching at Prince Georges County where she taught Preschool 4's in a Special Ed, Autism only, Self- contained classroom. She then became an Education Specialist for a Nonprofit, coaching and mentoring staff, students, and families.

Nashonda earned her master's in education- Curriculum and Instruction with a Concentration in STEM (aka STEAM) Education. She has also earned a Childcare Certification in Preschool Education, Infant/Toddler Education, and Childcare Director Administration. Her bachelor's is in Fashion Design and has also earned a Cosmetology License. She joins the Kingdom Faith Academy Team as the Administrative Director of Education.

About

Elder Mary Clark

Elder Mary Clark began her journey at Kramer Junior High School as a Secretary (12 years). She continued her secretarial duties at Spingarn High School as a Secretary (5 years). Then she transitioned to the higher education sector as an office administrator (5 years). After this, she became the Secretary of Contracts (13 years). Her most recent position was at The Nature conservancy (16 years). She now joins the educational team, at Kingdom Faith Academy, as the Before & Aftercare Coordinator.

Deaconess Jesse Davis

Jesse Davis has 30+ years of experience in the Financial Industry. Now as a retiree, she has found a joy in working with youth. She is joining the Kingdom Faith Academy team as the Preschool Coordinator.

Brother Divine Akplehey

Divine Kabu Akplehey is a passionate servant-leader with a heart for community, education, and faith-based service. Originally from Ghana and now based in Maryland, Divine brings a global perspective to outreach, shaped by his background in finance and Accounting, youth mentorship, and church ministry. He currently works as a Project Finance Coordinator and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from American University.

 

With professional experience at the World Bank Group and a history of student and community leadership, Divine is dedicated to building strong relationships between the school, families, and the broader community.  He joins the Kingdom Faith Academy Team as the Outreach Coordinator.
